In service to our enrolled families, The Appletree School offers before and afternoon care.
Preschool (threes and fours) and Academy families can opt for a full day instead of a school day for early morning care and after school care.
Parents choosing morning care service may drop off their student as early as 7am. Morning care students receive a welcome from a teacher from their age group, play in the classroom, enjoy outdoor recess time, and return for a snack to launch a successful school day at 9am.
Afternoon care students enjoy an afternoon snack, take part in outdoor recess and indoor free play time from 3pm to 6pm. Parents may pick up at any time. Appletree staff can offer homework help as needed for Academy students.
Most afternoons, there are optional extra activities available such as dance, soccer, martial arts or piano for an added fee. These classes are offered as a convenience so families can enjoy quality time together outside of the school day. Afternoon activity classes are offered seasonally, including summer. We announce offerings and registration details with our back-to-school information and weekly newsletters as sessions become available.
When afternoon program space permits, Appletree also welcomes inquiries from families at nearby Fairfax County Public elementary schools.
